Las Californias
This piece reflects something that has shaped much of my life and work: the idea that geography is not just physical. It is cultural, historical, and personal.
My perspective was formed across the San Diego–Tijuana region—where identities, economies, families, food and institutions cross boundaries every day.
I've always been drawn to work that carries that same complexity: rooted somewhere real, but never limited to one side of the line.
What we choose to preserve says something about what we value.
